I began reading about, studying and researching the markets back in the late 1990's, while looking for a change in my law enforcement career. At the time, I was given the challenging privilege of solely raising my then 7 month-old-daughter and 22-month-old-son. My new Mr. Mom position did not blend well with working the streets at night and long days in court, so a new career path began to take shape.
My interest in the markets, which quickly led into an addictive fascination, really began to grow while reading a book by David S. Nassar named "How to Get Started in Electronic Day Trading". Although I do not necessarily promote this book in today's markets, I discovered through Mr. Nassar that virtually anything that interested me - could be traded. This meant that I could work in a business with virtually no boundaries or boredom!
If I wanted to trade sports related companies - I could. If I wanted to work with cars, Harley's, clothing, banking, housing, energy, computers, soft drinks, medicine, or even toothpaste - I could! What could be a better way to spend my day making a living? In my personal opinion and experience, there is no other profession more intriguing, exciting or potentially more profitable than being a trader in the U.S. markets.
Countless hours spent perfecting Candlestick and Western charting formations became my life. And yes, I learned through "The School of Hard Knocks" by my own failures at the beginning of my career, as I suspect many reading this have also done.
With the help of my father's moral support and forward-thinking business perspective, I began to see firsthand how much personal fulfillment and financial success could be achieved - by doing what I loved. After accomplishing a few successful trading years and tweaking my trading strategies to perfect them, I decided to use my knowledge and experience to launch TradeSeven.com to help fellow traders whom I had built close relationships with.
TradeSeven.com quickly established a reputation as one of the industry's most respected websites and trading rooms. Combining powerful stock and futures strategies with sound charting techniques, I worked to provide a knowledge base that had previously only been available to professional traders.
The company now has a large subscription base including select brokers, fund managers, part-time traders, full-time traders, house wives, retirees and those who are looking at trading for the first time. Today I reside in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA with my remarkably wonderful wife and our five children. They are my world and are what makes it revolve each day. I am a Christian, having devoted my faith to Jesus in June of 1993. I have over the years enjoyed coaching baseball and girls softball in my community and I regularly work to keep myself in good physical condition.
And of course, living in Pittsburgh I am an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan. In business, I am living the dream of trading for myself and teaching others how to be successful against the 'Big Machine of Wall Street!
